Final Draft and Movie Magic expect you to write a screenplay from page one to the end. Then create your story structure around the scenes within it. But this is impractical, counter-intuitive, and not how most writers work!

Unlike Final Draft, Script Studio lets you create story beats FIRST. Wherever they appear in your story arc. Then fill in the gaps and shift them around until your narrative makes sense. Only then should you turn to writing the script content.
Note: Script Studio doesn't force you to do it this way but encourages you to follow this method. It will save you a bunch of time rewriting. And if you get script ideas along the way you can jump over to Script View and write a scene there. Or create a script snippet in Scratch Pad and add it to your script later.
